ConferPi is operated by Curious Pi Labs. This notice describes the data used by this version of the service.

Account and saved conferences

Google handles sign-in. We receive a verified Google account identifier and, when available, a display name. An encrypted session cookie keeps you signed in for up to one hour. Your shortlist is associated with a pseudonymous account identifier. We never receive your password and do not request your email address. Google tokens are processed during sign-in and are not retained. Sign-in requests only the basic account identifier and profile scopes.

Saved conferences remain associated with your account until you remove them or we complete a verified deletion request. Deleted records can remain in recovery backups for up to 35 days.

Conference suggestions

When signed in, you can suggest a conference by providing its name, public website URL and optional notes. We store these with your pseudonymous account identifier and submission time in a separate pending-review table. Suggestions are private and do not automatically become catalogue listings. Do not submit sensitive information or private access links. Suggestions remain pending until reviewed or a verified deletion request is completed; there is no automatic deletion schedule for suggestions yet.

Security and service records

We record account sign-ins, sign-outs and requests to the conference service for security and troubleshooting. These records use pseudonymous account identifiers, request identifiers, timestamps and outcomes. Infrastructure may also process IP addresses and request metadata to protect the service. Pseudonymous identifiers remain personal information.

Operational monitoring logs are retained for 30 days.

Optional analytics

If enabled and you consent, Google Analytics measures visits to public pages. We do not deliberately send your account identifier, name, search terms or URL query strings. Optional analytics do not run on sign-in or shortlist or suggestion pages. Google may process usage data in other countries.

Analytics cookies expire within 180 days. Analytics event and user data are retained for two months, without extending that period for new activity. Aggregate reports can remain available for longer.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense may display clearly labelled advertising after your consent and the advertising consent service’s checks. Advertisers do not influence the order of catalogue results. ConferPi requests non-personalised advertising; non-personalised ads may still use cookies.

Your choices

Use “Cookie preferences” at any time to change your choice. Essential-only access remains available. We respect the Global Privacy Control browser setting by disabling optional analytics and advertising. Your cookie preference is stored on this device for up to 180 days. You can remove saved conferences from their detail pages.

Conference and source links lead to independent websites with their own privacy practices. Review those sites before providing personal information or paying fees.
